Jon "MVP" Leuer

What do you mean who is Jon Leuer?!?

plays for the Milwaukee Bucks?

...drafted out of Wisconsin in the 2nd round?

...famously played for the Frankfurt Skyliners during the lockout?

No? ..

Jon Leuer is currently ranked 9th, NINTH, in John Hollingers PER statistic (his defensive rebound rate is equivalent to Blake Griffen's). He must be averaging 30 ppg then right? Nope, a measly 6.5 to go along with 3.8 rpg. So what makes him so special? He's doing it on 4 shot attempts PER GAME and in only 14 minutes of action. While not overly athletic, he does stand 6'10 (size always a big deal in the NBA) and is proving to be a serviceable player in this league. While he's not a top 10 player by any stretch of the imagination, his PER allows you to notice his contribution to the Bucks despite his limited minutes. Also, looking at 82games.com, when he is in the lineup, the team's +/- is better. The team clearly has played better with him in the lineup this year and as such you have to expect Scott Skiles to increase his minutes going forward.
